Poultry Course for Women in Rwentaga by KAGRIC
Katojo Agribusiness Incubation Center (KAGRIC) has launched a transformative poultry course for women in the Rwentaga community, Mbarara District. The initiative aims to empower women by providing them with the skills and knowledge to establish and manage successful poultry projects, helping them break free from the cycle of poverty.
Through hands-on training and mentorship, women learn the essentials of poultry farming, including feeding, disease control, breeding, and marketing. The course emphasizes sustainable farming practices, ensuring that participants can maintain profitable poultry businesses while protecting the environment.
KAGRIC also provides support in areas such as financial management, project planning, and access to markets, giving these women the tools to run efficient poultry enterprises. By equipping women with the skills to generate their own income, the program not only fosters economic independence but also strengthens the local economy and improves household livelihoods.
